Tu B’Shevat Home Celebration Pack

Six activities for The Birthday of the Trees!

UPDATED FOR TU B’SHEVAT 2023! Hi friends! We will not be making Tu B’Shevat Celebration packs this year, but please visit our Tu B’Shevat Round up for all of these wonderful activities (and more!) that you can easily put together for all of your own Tu B’Shevat celebrations! Yay!

Hi friends! It’s almost Tu B’Shevat, The Birthday of the Trees! There’s so many ways to celebrate this happy Jewish holiday. We created a wonderful at home celebration pack filled with 6 of our most loved Tu B’shevat activities. All come with instructions and are designed for a grown-up to do with younger children, or for older children to complete independently.

Here’s what’s inside our celebration pack:

Two Pea Seedlings

On Tu B’shevat, we plant trees and seeds! We have two seedlings waiting to be planted and watched over by little woodland friends. Did you know that peas planted on Tu B’Shevat might be ready to eat by Passover?

Beanie Baby Necklace

This isn’t just any bean, it’s a beanie baby necklace! This little bean gets wrapped in a cotton ball. The warmth of your child’s body will wake it up and start it on it’s growing journey.

Birdhouse Kit (styles may vary)

It’s fun to give trees hugs and presents on Tu B’Shevat! One present you can give a tree is a birdhouse; they love to be visited by feathered friends! We include paint, brushes, glue, tissue paper, pom-poms, flowers and all kinds of sparkly things - all to make the birds a special home!

Cheerio Bird Feeder

Did you know that the Shabbat right before Tu B’Shevat is a extra special? We feed the birds to thank them for their songs! It’s called Shabbat Shira (Shabbat of Song). You can make them a cheerio bird feeder!

Birthday Card Coloring Garland

Do you like getting cards on your birthday? Well trees do! That’s why we made a cute birthday card coloring garland, complete with a crayon stick. After it’s colored, you can weave the yarn through the holes, and hang the garland on your favorite tree!

Recycled Party Hat

All good parities need a party hat! On Tu B’shevat we take care of our earth. Our party hat is made from a recycled bag. We include fun decorations like stickers and yarn, and you can even use the paint, glue and all the extra decorations from your birdhouse too!

We had so much fun creating these 6 Tu B’shevat activities. We hope they’ll make your at home celebration extra special.

Each celebration pack is $36 (paid through Venmo) and available for local pick-up (Orlando, Florida area) starting on January 20. If you would like for us to mail it to you, there is an additional charge of $13. Supplies are limited. Please send us an email to reserve yours today!

For non-profit organizations and synagogues - if you would like to collaborate with us on a special project, please send us an email.

For more information on these activities, visit our Tu B’Shevat Round-up!

Happy Tu B’Shevat, Love Jennifer
