DIY: Ant crowns
The ants are marching one by one to a Lag B’omer picnic!
We’re getting ready to celebrate the Jewish Holiday, Lag B’Omer with a picnic! Picnics and ants seem to go together, and we thought it would be fun to put some imaginative play into our picnic, by making DIY ant crowns! They go with a simple rhyme too!
Cutie wearing an ant crown! :)
I see little ones on a picnic - It’s Lag B’Omer today!
Let’s tiptoe through the grass
Shh! No words will we say!
Let’s see what they’re eating,
Our six legs make us fast.
Yay! It’s squishy challah!
A yummy treat for all us ants!
Whether you’re going on an outside picnic, or having one inside your home, here’s what you’ll need to make your own ant crown:
DIY Ant Crown:
Black poster board (22” x 28”)
White chalk marker
2 chenille stems
Hot glue gun (adults only please)
Stickers
Stapler (adults only please)
Additional colors of chalk markers (optional)
Here’s how to make it!
That’s it! A cute ant crown! We are bringing some DIY no-sew ant plushies to join us on our picnic, and we are making a “kid-friendly” Lag B’Omer canvas bonfire and some s’more pops too!

Happy Lag B’Omer!
